#asktheexperts Hello Doctor my baby is14 months old now and his weight is 9kg, he is not gaining weight from last couple of months. please suggest.

POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 6 m old girl3 years agoA. Ideal weight of a 14 months old baby boy should be between 9-11 kgs depending on birth weight and eating patterns. As toddlers are very active and spending most of the time in running and playing around, they tend to gain weight slowly. Try to include fat and protein rich foods in the diet. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks alongwith variety of fluids. As long as child is active and healthy, weight increase should not be of much concern as once proper eating habits are developed, weight will increase too eventually.
