#asktheexperts hello doctor my baby is 5 months old i would like to start solids to her, how would I know she is ready for solids and from past few days she is not showing interest in feeding she just sucks for few minutes and gets distracted... and my baby rolls over on her now and when I make her sit on my lap she sits but if I make her sit on the floor she bends to the front.... should I get checked anything here

A. The baby should be able to sit upright. If you’re planning to start baby led weaning on the same time if the baby is not hungry, then obviously the baby will not suckles doesn’t mean that the baby is interested in something else . The baby should be able to swallow food, and before that if we four-speed it can cause choking.
