#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, My baby is 3 months old and exclusively breastfed. Is it compulsory to give Vitamin D drops to the baby, or is it okay if we don’t use them? Please advise.

A. See Ma’am as far as my knowledge also goes you have to give it for initial one year because the kids can be low vitamin D plus they suffer with jaundice initially so it helps avoiding of relapsing of jaundice and and also multivitamin is important because kidney the supplement though your child is on exclusive breastfeed that’s completely alright but supplements are important now it’s your choice if you do not want to give it but we recommend you for initial one year
