Q.

#asktheexperts hello doctor my baby has fever, cold and cough, after CBC test we saw that his wbc-11400 & neutrophil -65. Doctor gave us cefuroxime axetil... I am giving him that antibiotic for 5days though fever hasn't come from that day but cough and cold still there... can I change that antibiotic to amixulin poattassium clavunate?

A. you cannot give antibiotics without medical consultation. also if it's viral infection or an allergy then there is no role of antibiotics. all infection and illness doe not require antibiotics. also dosage is given as per infection and type of disease. meet your dr for proper advice. dr wiil tell if change is needed or not

A. You cannot change medicines from your own side you’ll have to take an advice with your doctor because they can only tell that you should be shifting to another medication or not please don’t switch medicines like that and also I would recommend you that you should start nebulising the child that is going to be very beneficial introducing down congestion from the body
