#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, I have covid symptoms. Shall I continue breastfeeding my 8 months old daughter? Also, how to know she is infected or not?

A. WHO recommends that mothers with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 should be encouraged to initiate or continue to breastfeed.Wear a medical mask while breastfeeding the baby. Wash your hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand rub before feeding. Routine clean and disinfect surfaces around you. Keep at least 1 meter distance from others.
