Q.

#asktheexperts Hello Doctor, I have a 2 months old girl , she usually stays awake and doesn't sleep enough Today the whole day from 12pm till now she is awake.. I am really worried doctor about her sleep. She is feeling very sleepy but she isn't able to sleep We feed her well every two three hours. She is a formula fed baby. Today she turned 2 months old. We dont know what to do with her .. she isn't crying or anything but just she doesn't want to sleep i don't know what is stopping her from sleeping. She wakes up suddenly and then she doesn't sleep again. Out of seven days in a week there are oly 2 days that she sleeps well other days it the same scenario as tday.

A. Dear Parent, Sometimes some babies need soothing to sleep well, most of the time my 1.5 month old daughter also doesn’t sleep easily, she sleeps well when she is held but gets up as soon as we try to put her down. At that point if someone talk to her and try to play she loses sleep easily but if we pick her up again and rock her eventually she goes back to sleep. Only problem is that someone has to carry her full time so she gets proper sleep. You can try this if it works for you.

A. But There is definitely very bad because a child should sleep at least 17 to 18 hours in a day new challenge and sleeping at all you should consult your paediatrician for a personal check up maybe they can advise you with some medicine which will help in improving the sleep cycle of your child
