#asktheexperts hello Doctor, do you advise to give water or sugar for babies who is 6months old if he get hiccups?

A. don't give, Hiccups often start when someone does two things together, like laughing when eating or drinking.Babies do not get upset from hiccups, so you do not need to try and stop a baby's hiccups, but if you want to try, give your baby something to drink a breast feed, or some water.(above six months)

A. hi mam , hiccups are normal part of development so no need of sugar for that. yes , you can offer one tsp of water at that time. but don't force your child.
