#asktheexperts hello doc my baby is 6 months old she has started solid and having combine of formula and breastmilk but from last few days her poop is dark green in colour so is it normal?

A. the green colour that many times is present in the stool is due to the digestive enzymes (bile )present in the stomach and when the food reacts with the digestive enzymes this can give green colour to the stool. the importancre is of consistency of the stool so if the consistency is watery and green then only you need to meet the doctor but if it is semi solid to solid green stool then no need to meet the doctor.

A. Hello dear parent! Colour doesn’t matter as long as your baby baby is active, accepting feeds, showing no discomfort symptoms. Continue feeding your baby well on demand. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
