#asktheexperts Good afternoon Doctor. My baby boy is 37 days old today. He was born on 33 weeks and 5 days gestation. His birth weight was 2.3 kg and at 29 days he was 3.02 kg. Is the weight gain adequate or low? When he will focus on things and smile?

A. yes irs ok. he should gain all milestone ok. see more you can ask your own treating doctor. i am sure they will solve all your doubts and guide youyou can show the baby to a pediatric doctor who will check and find the right diagnosis and treat well

A. Yes It is perfectly fine your child has gained approximately 700 g with months time or something so I would say it is quite an appropriate wait for you to go for as of now you do not need to worry about it and since your child is a little preterm born maybe you’re facing these issues but these things will become better over the period
