#asktheexperts Dr. My baby has cough from past 10 days. I gave him proper medication and steam as per dr. Recommendation. Now the cough is almost gone.But the mucus (resha) in chest is never gone?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comfortable.for small baby should be given indirectly from a distance.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it needs to be exa vegmined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.
