#asktheexperts Dear sir /Madam My baby is now one month 13 days her navel is still not healed completely it's watery type some time used ointment neomycin bt still not completely dry what to do please suggest I m worried I sud also avoid anything in food, anything which is harmful for baby navel healing? I have eat banana kofta many time and baingan bharta is that harming for baby? ? please tell me waiting for your reply

A. hi, it's not due to ur diet. it seems umbilical granuloma... kindly do get checked with your paedritician once.. check for discharge...if so than do salt treatment- A little salt can be placed on the granuloma and kept in place with a piece of gauze taped over the belly button. After 10 to 30 minutes, clean the area with a gauze pad that you’ve soaked with warm water. Repeat twice a day for two or three days. If the granuloma doesn’t shrink and begin to dry out, see your doctor. If the salt treatment seems to be working, continue it until the granuloma disappears and the belly button starts to heal.

Hi Maintain hygiene Do tummy time and cycyling movement of legs regularly Take healthy protein rich nutritious food including fenugreek ajwain butter to increase your breast milk avoid stress stay happy it also help to increase your breast milk you can take lactogen tablet to increase bm Burp well after evey feeding by holding your baby in straight right position and wait for burping atleat ten minutes
