Q.

#asktheexperts can you sleep train a baby that has been co sleeping since birth after he has turned a year old ? He currently is dependent on rocking or nursing to go to sleep and I would like for him to be able to sleep without these associations.. through the night when he wakes up, he needs to be rocked or nursed to go back to sleep !

A. rocking or patting the baby to sleep is a habit and it is a type of sensitization for sleep so if you are not comfortable doing it every night then you have to change the patterns of sensitization for sleep it can be done but it will take at least one week

Hi Mom I Make bed time routines Give ultra D3 drops and calcium supplements Burp well after every feeding Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation Massage regularly with coconut oil Take healthy protein rich nutritious food Maintain hydration Take a good care of your baby Sleep pattern will correct soon
