#asktheexperts Can we give powder milk to new born baby along with breast milk? Can we give honey to new born baby? How much amount is safe for baby?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. yes, can give formula milk of great feeding is not possible, Don't give your baby any honey before she's a year. This is because honey can, very occasionally, contain a spore of a bacterium called clostridium botulinum. This can cause a rare form of food poisoning (botulism) in babies.

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning it is not advisable to give honey to a new born baby I would suggest that you should try to avoid giving formula milk if mothers milk is sufficient for the child it is really not needed
