Similac Formula milk is supposed to be very very good you can go ahead with that and since you can introduce it for the first time I am going to give you a tip to add some fennel seeds to the water when you bought it for making formula that is actually going to keep the stomach cool and will really help in controlling gas and colic issues to a great level
