#asktheexperts Baby is 1 year old and still 5 kg. can you help me to prepare the food plan

A. dear Mum, weight of 5 kg is low for your baby at the age of 1 year. you should consult doctor and get your baby checked. for healthy weight gain, Give top food 4 to 5 times a day and up to one katori every time. Also give one healthy snack in between. Give nuts like almond, dry fruits. All seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, milk and milk products, chicken. At least 500 ml of milk and milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. Avoid fruit juice and instead give the whole fruit.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Baby weight depends on birth weight and normally doubles by the age of six months and triples by the age of one year. Please give eggs and chicken to the baby and also green vegetables. Thanks and take care
