1 Answer

A. For a baby, Vitamin D3 drops are usually given from birth and can be continued until 1–2 years of age or as advised by the doctor. The usual dose is 400 IU once daily. Iron supplements are generally started around 6 months if the baby is not getting enough from food, especially in breastfed babies. The typical dose is 1–2 mg/kg/day, but always follow your pediatrician’s prescription for the exact amount and duration.
