Q.

#AskTheExpert What’s considered as the normal temperature in newborns? I see my daughter who is 1 month old has been averaging between 97.9 F to 98.8 F between yesterday through till today morning. Is this considered normal? Let me know.

A. upto 99 is ok .Baby on touch can be warm to feel at forehead sole or stomach area and it's normal for the healthy baby. Fever is an immune response and is a sign of inflammation . If armpit temperature is above 99 Fahrenheit then it s fever and needs medicines .
