#asktheexpert What food can I give my child for preventing calcium deficiency? She has to avoid mill and milk products due to allergies.

A. spinach, ladyfinger, broccoli, sweet potatoes, beans, tofu, Soy milk, lentils. Brown rice, ragi etc are high in calcium. Nuts like almonds are rich in calcium. Sesame seeds has also good amount of calcium. make a soup like the broccoli cheese soup/mash.

A. Hi mom Apart from milk and milk products u can give spinach, lady finger, broccoli, sweet potato potato, tofu, brown rice, ragi etc are high in calcium. U can also give calcium supplements that are prescribed by the doctor. Take care
