Q.

#asktheexpert what all food can i offer my 9 months old baby boy?? Also when can i start adding red mirchi powder to his food seeing other kids not eating mirchi in their food till age of 5 years also!! So i want my child to eat like our food by age of 2 max..

A. hello parent I can understand your concerns regarding introducing spices in your baby diet but as of now it's better to avoid red chilli powder in baby food rather you can add small amount of black pepper jeera powder and other spices that improve baby but health and digestion. You can expand your baby's diet to include soft foods such as yogurt, oatmeal, mashed banana, mashed potatoes, or even thicker or lumpy pureed vegetables. Eggs (including scrambled) are an excellent source of protein, as are cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and avocado.
