Q.

#asktheexpert we have 01month baby, she is not pooped daily, she is constipated. Dr had advised to insert suppository.. wen we insert suppository she pooped... without suppository sge didn't poop.. she is not on formula milk.. she is on breast feeding

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babieghs and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
