Q.
#asktheexpert The baby girl born on aug 9th she is doing well untill day before yesterday but she is feeling some type of discomfort in throat like when we have cold. but pediatrician said it is just milky substance that is forming no need to worry but baby is crying sometimes due to that discomfort. what I need to do doctor?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity.
try to prevent temperature variations around the child
you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold
continue the regular diet of the child
if there is no improvement in few days then meet your doctorx
for fever and pain give paracetamol.
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please massage baby stomach with BabyHug coconut oil clockwise and anti-clockwise. You can also apply hing water on baby stomach. Also do some cycling leg exercises of the baby to relieve from constipation and gas. Please make the baby burp after every feed. Mother should chew saunf and ajwain after every meal.
