#AskTheExpert Soft motion in 1 year old. hello doctor my 1 year. old boy has been passing soft stools since 3 months. initially he had diarrhoea so doc gave him probiotic medicines for 1 week. but even after that the motions are soft till now. He eats semi solid food like soup, chicken, fish, apple, rice etc. thank you

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. If bowel movements are soft, then there is likely no problem. Signs of constipation in infants and children may include: Being very fussy and spitting up more often (infants) Difficulty passing stools or seeming uncomfortable.
