#AskTheExpert sir why kids are running through coughs and cold now a days and this time the duration of episode is longer than usual. after 10 days my kids got relief from cough and now again after 2 days of relief it started again plz suggest some measures

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if feverf is there parhuacetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Hi parent please keep her Hydrated keep her Hydrated by giving her a spoon of water every hour when she is awake take sunbathing daily with her head and ears covered in the morning don't expose her to winds and dust keep a bowl of chopped onion near her bed approx three feet far over night
