Q.

#asktheexpert sir my son is having his haemoglobin level is remaining 9 always and i 'm beta thalesemic should i go for test for him also or else what can i do to raise his blood level

A. yes if you have history of thalassemia you should get proper examination done for your child also so as to take proper care Red meat, pork and poultry. Seafood. Beans. Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach. Dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots. Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas. Peas. iron-fortified bread and breakfast cereal. nuts and seeds. dried fruit. wholemeal pasta and bread. legumes — such as mixed beans, baked beans, lentils and chickpeas.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and yes your baby HB level is very less and better to consult with your local child doctor in person and also give baby iron supplements after doctor evaluation. Also add banana broccoli black chana pomegranate and spinach in baby daily diet. Take care
