Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Babies will hear sounds from the time they were inside the womb. Babies will try to identify the source of sounds when they are around 4 months. They will turn to check where the sound comes from. Around six months they will try to imitate the sounds that u make. By eight months they will be able to respond or react in their own way to the different sounds that u make. There is also a hearing test BAER which is done for new borns.
