Q.

#AskTheExpert She is 1.5+ now and mostly dependent on mother's feed. We've tried a lot but she hardly take other meals or cow milk. Not sure what to di?

A. Breastmilk is recommended until 1.5 yrs to 2 yrs and even after that as long as the baby and the mother are comfortable with it. You can try other means to intoduce solid food without weaning breastfeeding. This will be tough. But try to implement this. Bring in a routine for breastfeeding like every day early morning once, then again in the afternoon and again at night something like that. In all other times dont offer breastmilk even if the baby demands. It will be too difficult as the baby will go cranky and cry out a lot. But be stubborn and try to explain in a way when he can have breastmilk. Slowly due to hunger baby will start accepting other foods.
