Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex coldgj/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Vritika AroraMom of a 5 yr 2 m old child3 years agoA. Hi dear mom Give maxtra syrup for cold and cough to ur baby, give paracetamol to ur baby for fever and repeat the dose after six hours if fever comes again.. Apply vicks vaporub on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold
