A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if itdt is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain. Thromfbophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. You can apply ice pack on the area when vaccination is given. If baby develops fever then please give medicine as advised by the paediatrician. Please do not self medicate the baby. Thanks and take care
