Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. it is ok for the babies .During infancy the baby may not motion on daily basis. It may be alternate day or may be up to 7 days . Glycerine suppository may be used for the lubrication if baby not passing motion .

Changes in diet has to be made
Specially give papaya, banana, oats, fennel seeds water pear, prune, pineapple, resins, plum as it will help in decreasing constipation.
Even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipati5on medicine.
it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child.
You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool.
