Q.

#asktheexpert Our son is just a month old. He cries for the entire night. The only way he calms down is when he is breastfed. We fear overfeeding. However this is his routine, cries till 6am and then sleeps. Is this normal?

A. crying of a baby is very common and most of the time it is hjbecause of infantile colic and Gas related discomfort. Specially in the night time, other reasons can be hunger, cry, nasal blockage, ear, pain, diaper, rash, insect bite, where proper evolution is required. Try to make the child comfortable, in the room

A. First Weeks and Months On average, most exclusively breastfed babies will feed about every 2 to 4 hours. Some babies may feed as often as every hour at times, often called cluster feeding. Or may have a longer sleep interval of 4 to 5 hours.
