Q.
#AskTheExpert my wife is suffering from severe pain in right breast during feeding and post feeding as well. we have consulted to many doctors but could not find any thing that can cure her. some asked to bear the pain n few asked to quit feeding but none have the solution for pain relief. can you please help as we don't want our baby to quit feeding in his 3rd month

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Put ice packs or cool compresses on engorged breasts after feedings. Gently massage the sore area before nursing. Get plenty of rest and fluids. Some mothers with cracked or sore nipples find that pumping for 2 to 3 days allows their nipples to heal.
