#asktheexpert My two year old is suddenly getting high fever every 6 hrs. I am giving her pacimol as suggested by her doctor, increased the fluid intake but it's nearly 3 days now the fever is still coming back every 6 hours and reaching upto 102 degree. what else can we do please suggest.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give onlyz symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor
please do body sponge that is body wiping to decrease the body temperature with wet cotton cloth. z
