#asktheexpert my toddler 's vaccination done yesterday ,now her leg has redness and swelling and pain also what should I do to make her comfortable. please suggest

A. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsidesf in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

A. this is common to hv swelling redness on the vaccination area.. you cn rub ice cubes on the vaccination area... to reduce... u cn gv calpol drps if baby hv fever this wl help to reduce the pain.also
