#AskTheExpert my son was born at 35th week(on 10th April), his birth weight was 2.5 kgs. He is now 3 months 6 days old, what should be his weight? If he is not gaining weight then what should I do?

A. Babies should gain 140-200 gms weight in their initial montgs and by 5th month, it should double the birth weight. Till the time you do not introduce semi solid foods, milk is the only meal, therefore, it is important to feed fully and frequently. It must include once or twice night feed too after waking up the baby.
