#asktheexpert my son was 6 month old...he got fever and loose motion... what was the reason? still he have loose motion

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like enterogermina twice a day for 3 days. For any specific treatment consult your doctor. can give khichdi ,masbfrhed potato, ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of age, maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids.ors can also be given.

Teething I think that’s the reason but I am not assessed your child so I cannot be sure about it but this is the most common reason at the age of 5 to 6 months which could suffer from diarrhoea so you can consult your paediatrician that will have much more clarity about it
