Q.

#AskTheExpert My son sucks his thumb in the middle of night around 3am. When I give him milk he stops. I think he eats enough throughout the day but still he feels hungry. Please tell if I should increase the diet and also share the normal diet plan of a 4+ year old boy.

A. Healthy options include fresh vegetables and fruits, low-fat dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheeses) or dairy substitutes, lean proteins (beans, chicken, turkey, fish, lean hamburger, tofu, eggs), and whole-grain cereals and bread.
