ExpertArchanaNutritionist4 years agoA. Hi Mom, if your baby is active, happy and eating properly then nothing to worry. usually we can expect baby to gain about 500 gm in a month, double at 6 months and triple by the age of 1 year compared to birth weight.
along with breastfeeding, you can feed soft cooked and smashed khichdi, roti or paratha smashed in dal or less spicy curry, fruit puree, smashed banana, boiled and smashed potato, boiled and smashed pulses, porridge, nuts powder / paste, veg puree, soft idli, thin dosa, etc. ghee in meal preparations, etc.
feed on regular intervals after 2 hours gap, maintain good hygiene and avoid force feeding and overfeeding.

you can give 1 tbsp banana 2-3 times a week
yogurt about tbsp.
mashed potato about 1 tbsp 2-3 times a week.
you can give some ghee also...about half tbsp...but in two servings. ...not all at once.
try any new food in small quantities and gradually increase.
preferably give in morning time.
