#AskTheExpert My son is2 months old. He has got throat irritation and he's coughing when awake. also the irritation is painful i guess because he cries while coughing. please suggest what can be done

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. may be die to cold. Some running nose or phlem is due to the common cold and flu due to season change . Steam along with other home remedy like maintain baby temperature will help . Other medications like paracetamol for fever can be given if any fever .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Saline solution is the only safe nasal spray for babies, infants, and toddlers. To use saline solution, lay the baby down on their back and, if possible, slightly tilt their head back (don't force it, though). Then spray two to three drops of saline spray into each nostril.
