Q.

#AskTheExpert My son is suffering from constipation. I have started solid food for him after 6 months. At present he is 7+ months old. I have visited pediatrician in my city. He has given syrup laxigem, a stool softer with which he passes stool in the morning easily. But my child pushes himself to do more during daytime and cries a lot. He make a fist pushes his arms forward and try to exert. And cries crankily. Can you guide me what is the real issue? is it a gastric problem or constipation or something else?

A. for this knw about. Constipation or hard stools is quite common in baby age group and so know that as it requires dietary change. Give plenty of water to baby and also include high fibre diet items like suji , dalia etc green leafy vegetables and fruits in the baby diet.
