Q.

#asktheexpert My son is only 10kg now he is 1yr 10months old.giving him 3meals a day.breakfast-suji/chuda along with 2tbs dry fruits powder,lunch- 50g rice,dal,mix veggies or 1pc fish,egg or chicken, dinner-3tbs atta & 3tbs ragi halwa boiled in milk.sometimes evening snacks and post breakfast some fruits. still why he is not gaining weight?his birth weight is 3.1kg

A. weight is in normal range, so don't worry. give all family food.. Offer a variety of tastes and texture so that baby gets used to it all. No biscuits and other packaged and processed foods. They are just loaded with sugar and not healthy. Work around the baby's schedule based on family meal time. Babies need good fats like ghee, unsalted butter, coconut, etc. Normal cooking oil whichever the family uses can also be used. Give all seasonal fruits and vegetables. ll
