Q.

#asktheexpert my son is none months old... he has high fever from yesterday.. his temperature is 101 plus.. m giving him medicine.. but haven't started antibiotic yet... is this because of teething.. or some infection. what should be done

A. Hi teething phase causes low grade rise in body temperature..but as there is very high temperature you should consult with your pediatrician before giving any medicine to your baby. if you're seeing signs of teething then gently massage the gum pad area with clean finger tip to facilitate the eruption process

A. Hey If it is only fever then it could be due to teething also or it could be due to weather also there is no sure shot reason that are there is an infection or something so continue with the medicines that you are giving right now and if the fever does not subside in two days or it is increasing then consult your doctor and please do not give any antibiotics without consulting the doctor
