A. For your 14-month-old baby with a fever of 101°F, using an air conditioner at night is generally safe if you keep the room temperature comfortable—not too cold—and avoid direct airflow on the baby. Set the AC around 24–26°C (75–78°F) and dress your baby in light, breathable clothing. Also, keep the room well-ventilated and monitor the baby for any chills or discomfort. If the fever persists more than 2 days, is very high, or your baby shows other symptoms like lethargy or difficulty breathing, consult a pediatrician promptly.
