Q.

#AskTheExpert my son is in his fifth month and I am planning to add solids to his diet in a couple of weeks. Can you suggest what should I start with ?

A. Hello mom this is a good age to introduce the baby to weaning foods so initially would recommend to start with some liquids first such as dal or rice water or vegetable soup or fresh fruit juices and alternate it with your feed . Start with a few tsp first you can then gradually try to increase the quantity, variety and number of meals . And then from age of 6 months you can move to semi solids and mashed foods
