#asktheexpert My son is having cough with mucus inside. During morning he does little bit coughing but at night he coughs a lot. We are giving him Clyora and Ascodex - LS syrup. Also, giving him honey with black pepper. Please suggest what can be done to give him immediate relief from coughing.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. recurring and non resolving cough and cold is commonly due to allergy and less likely due to infection. can be due to either allergy or infection or both. along with cough and cold medicine nebulizatixon will be required and your doctor will guide you regarding this. take a follow up with your doctor if the cough and cold is not improving with 3 days of medication .
it is very important to give proper inhaler as well as proper method of nebulization for better recovery

you can give mixture of jeggary+ pinch of turmeric powder and Dry ginger powder before sleep time
it will help to prevent the coughing at night
give luke warm water to drink
and before sleep , apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child which help in better sleep
