#asktheexpert my son is having cough problem since 3 years..doctors have give puff and montair lc but after every 1month it came back... what is the permanent solution..

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine whicgh syhould be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

It Could possibly be due to some kind of an allergy first get an allergy test done to be more sure about it and after that you go ahead with the treatment treatment would be very good as you can consult a Doctor Who specialises in allergies and they can treat your child
