Q.

#Asktheexpert My son is 5months old. I have low milk supply. I have been breastfeeding (on demand) and formula feed (180ml in the afternoon n 180ml in the night). Recently since couple days, I am having lower supply than usual. How do I still continue to maintain or increase current supply with formula feed.

A. once baby will be sucking less at the breast naturally the milk production will be less since you're giving lot of formula milk to the baby baby may not be sucking at the breast

A. The research tells us that exclusively breastfed babies take in an average of 25 oz (750 mL) per day between the ages of 1 month and 6 months. Different babies take in different amounts of milk; a typical range of milk intakes is 19-30 oz per day (570-900 mL per day).
