Guardian of a 4 yr old boy3 years ago
Q.

#AskTheExpert My son is 5 months old. As a working mother, we feed him both formula milk and breast milk. Usually, he passes motion every two days. I was on leave for past 4 days so I exclusively breast fed him on all these days. He hasn't passed motion for nearly 6 days. Could there be any issues or is it normal?

A. It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than 10 days also and sometixmes the frequency can be around 6 to 7 times per day also. Both the above frequency of stool passage is normal if the consistenxcy of the stool is semi solid to solid.
