#AskTheExpert my son is 5 months and 18 days old. he is having constipation. it has been about 2 months. previously I had consulted a doctor. he did a 5 day course of pre biotics and pro biotics. but not much difference had been made. he would pass out stool 3rd or sometimes 4th day. please help

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr old boy4 years agoA. Kindly continue the medicine given by your doctor and take a follow up. Follow up is also required because the doctor will tell you whether you have to continue the same medicines or there will be cchanged in the medicines for the child

But As per doctors constipation is completely normal and common at this is because the child is only on liquid passing urine properly taking all the feet adequately then you do not have to worry about it but as of now this is normal but after the age of six months when you introduce semisolid food try to introduce good amount of water as well
