#AskTheExpert My son is 4 months old. How much milk he should have per day. I think he is having very less milk but his weight is rite.

A. sorry to increase your confusion but I am aware of the fact that it must ne consumed within 30 min of preparation. otherwuse it goes bad.

A. How much time formula milk is good once prepared.. Some say its good till 7 hrs, some say 3 hrs, some say 1 hr....

A. The quantity of formula milk depends on baby's weight. baby should be given 150-200 ml of formula feed for every kg of baby weight. for example if baby is 3 kgs then give 450-600 ml in 24 hrs. that is the thumb rule. Divide this through the day. But since all babies are different then the quantity may vary a bit also.  Please refer to the instructions on the box also once where the quantity will be given as per baby's weight or age. One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed when using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast. So please make sure you keep an on the quantity.
