#AskTheExpert My son is 3.6 yr old and is very much fond of slate pencils , wall paint, stones and always tries to eat them... Can I get any suggest why he is behaving like this is there any vitamin deficiency or how can I avoid it... Thank you,

A. Hello, It sounds like typically 'Pica'. Pica is an eating disorder that is quite common among young ones..The disorder is defined as persistent and compulsive cravings to eat nonfood items....It is due to calcium or iron deficiency in babies... please do check with your paeedritician and management accordingly.
